美国总统川普30日（周日）在社交媒体平台发布一张地图，显示地处美国与加拿大边境的安大略湖，如今已被标注为「美国湖」。
Google在一份声明中说，Google Maps已为美国用户将安大略湖名称更改为「美国湖」，以「反映川普日前签署的湖泊更名行政命令」。
美国总统的行政命令影响的是美国地理名称讯息系统，该系统为美国官方地图设定标准。它对加拿大的命名惯例或世界其他地区对该湖泊的称呼没有任何影响。
去年Google Maps对墨西哥湾也做出了类似更改：在川普就职后签署行政命令将该水域更名为「美国湾」后，Google Maps便将墨西哥湾标注为「美国湾」。
