能源成本激增英国8月通膨率升至3.1% 创5个月新高

据英国国家统计局(ONS)数据，受中东冲突引发的能源与燃料价格暴涨影响，英国8月消费者物价指数(CPI)年增率自7月的2.9%加速升至3.1%，创下5个月以来的新高。尽管整体通膨上扬，但剔除能源与食品的核心通膨率仍持稳于2.6%，符合经济学家预期。

受中东局势影响，8月汽车燃料价格大幅飙升23%，汽油平均每公升上涨9.1便士至161.3便士，柴油每公升上涨14.2便士至181.8便士，长途航空票价也显著上涨。
国家统计局首席经济学家Grant Fitzner表示：「汽柴油价格剧烈上涨再次拉高8月通膨，航空票价上涨也有贡献；原油与汽油价格走扬，同时增加了原材料成本与出厂商品价格。」
在英国央行(BoE)利率决策前夕，核心通膨率连续4个月维持在2.6%，服务业通膨率持平于3.4%。国家经济社会研究院(NIESR)副研究员Charlotte O’Leary指出：「目前二次效应的证据有限，预计货币政策委员会明日将维持基准利率不变。但升温的通膨压力，最终可能为升息提供空间。」
Wealth Club首席投资策略师Susannah Streeter认为，物价上涨使央行升息压力倍增，但明日仍预期利率维持在3.75%，地缘政治事件正再次让消费者承受生活重担。
面对物价飞涨与财政压力，英国财政大臣希利(John Healey)坦言：「中东战争正冲击全球通膨，影响延伸至帐单、日常采买与加油站。」
Quilter Cheviot固定收益研究主管Richard Carter评论称：「对将减轻生活成本视为核心任务的政府来说，这些数据是一记重击。随着借贷成本上升，预算案中可采行的措施将受限。」
