美伊之间看不到缓和迹象，战争进入第七个月，外媒最新报导称战争可能持续至川普任期结束，这一说法与川普公开保证战争将迅速取得胜利的声明相悖。

《华尔街日报》报导，美国官员表示，在椭圆形办公室和白宫战情室的讨论中，副总统范斯、国务卿卢比欧等人与川普总统探讨了这样一种情况：德黑兰当局恐在封锁和其他军事手段的压力下继续抵抗，从而可能导致冲突延续至2029年1月的总统就职日之后。

上述闭门讨论进行之际，川普周三(9日)才表示，美伊战争将在11月期中选举后「立即」结束，因为「伊朗撑不下去了」。

但根据《彭博资讯》最新报导，伊朗一名高官表示，德黑兰已为冲突升级做好准备，若美国继续攻击其领土与基础设施，将采取更强硬反击；面对美国海上封锁及对油轮的袭击，德黑兰无意退缩。尽管经济压力加剧，领导层仍视此战为生死攸关威胁，认为只能继续作战。

美伊双方军事行动再次集中于海上运输与能源设施。川普周三淡化市场对油价的担忧，称战争将在选举后立即结束，「因为他们再也撑不下去了」。

伊朗并非没有考虑谈判。包括总统佩泽希齐扬在内的部分官员主张谈判缓解经济压力，但要求白宫先解除封锁。自4月战争最激烈阶段结束后，伊朗一直在重建军力。上述官员称，伊朗已拥有足以支撑长期冲突的飞弹储备；

伊朗新任安全负责人雷扎伊(Mohsen Rezaee)本周稍早曾说，伊朗已调整对美军舰艇和基地的军事姿态，立场更具攻击性。

伊朗议会发言人卡利巴夫(Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf)警告：「对等回应」的时代已经结束。

伊朗还表示，在美方击沉5艘油轮后，其部队在荷姆兹海峡附近袭击10艘船只，为战争以来最大规模航运攻击；革命卫队并警告将升级回应，很快公布扩大的海上禁入区地图，延伸至巴基斯坦附近的恰巴哈尔(Chabahar)。

攻击直接冲击能源运输。布兰特原油期货价格周三一度突破每桶101美元，为7月来首见；纽约西德州原油期货(WTI)盘中亦涨破96美元。

Rystad Energy首席经济学家Claudio Galimberti表示，荷姆兹海峡石油流量已降至每日约200万桶，战斗恢复前一周曾达800万至900万桶。成品油压力更明显，美国柴油平均零售价突破每加仑5.94美元，创历史新高。

美国正避免重陷3月和4月初的全面激战，一方面忧心燃料价格续涨，另一方面因拦截导弹消耗巨大，故更倾向以海上封锁施压，迫使伊朗重开荷姆兹海峡并重启谈判。伊朗则坚持有权管理这条水道，定期攻击未经许可通过的船只。

封锁已冲击伊朗经济：由于无法出口石油、难以进口关键物资，通膨率升至近90%。上述官员承认困境恶化，但领导层认为必须战斗到华府未来不敢轻易动手。

能源价格上涨正成为川普的政治压力。距离11月3日期中选举不到两个月，特朗普周三表示，因战争上涨的能源价格不会在选举前回落，「选举过后，油价就会大幅下跌」。

当被问及如何解释油价升至战争初期以来最高时，川普回答说，「你只需要问：你会让伊朗拥有核武器吗？汽油价格最终将跌至每加仑2美元以下，但不会早于11月初选举」，但随后又改口称「需要比中期选举再久一点」。

GasBuddy燃料分析师Patrick De Haan则对这一预测表示怀疑：「我看不到任何一定会发生的保证。」
