日本央行最新公布数据显示，日本8月批发物价指数(PPI)持续处于高位，年增率超出市场预期，显示通膨压力居高不下，进一步巩固了日本央行于本月升息的合理性。
日本8月PPI年增7.6%高于预期巩固央行9月升息预期
根据日本央行资料，8月批发物价指数较去年同期上涨7.6%，高于市场预期的7.4%，仅较7月修正后的7.7%(自2023年2月以来新高)略微放缓。按月计算，8月指数微幅下降0.2%。
推动物价上涨的主要项目包括石油与煤炭制品、化学制品、资讯通讯设备及有色金属。此外，8月以日元计价的进口物价指数年增24.8%，显示日元疲软显著推升了进口成本与广义通膨。
受到中东冲突推升燃料成本，以及劳动力市场紧绷带动工资上涨等影响，企业在能源、运输与包装等进货成本上面临持续压力，并试图将其转嫁给消费者。日本央行总裁植田和男强调，正密切观察批发物价变化，评估企业将成本转嫁给家庭的程度。
日本央行已于6月将利率调升至31年来高点的1%。随着通膨与日元疲软疑虑持续，市场已几乎完全消化央行将于9月18日会议上升息25个基点至1.25%的预期，分析师更预估基准利率可能于2027年第二季，进一步调升至1.75%。
