美国统川普表示，他预期在与中国国家主席习近平的高峰会中，不会针对人工智慧（AI）设立任何防护机制。
川普在社群媒体平台上发文指出：「今天与中国习主席会面，是重要的一天。超级智慧（SI）将是重要议题，但我希望维持现状。中国的立场也是如此。」
他并称：「我们的防护机制就是司法部。」川普所指的是美国司法部（DOJ）。
国际社会对AI的忧虑日益升高。各国领袖与AI实验室警告，若未以安全方式开发这项技术，可能对人类构成威胁。
川普本周在联合国发表演说时，对各界呼吁签署国际协议以约束AI发展的声浪不予采纳，并强调现有机构将有能力化解任何潜在风险。
